  1. Her bra strap must have been showing lol.

  2. This is the closest thing we will see to a perfect 10 ever again.

  3. my favourite thing is watching the judges faces in the slow mo when she lands

  4. I’m so glad I saw this live.

she got a deduction for being an American

  7. Three years later and this still gets me. Probably the single most gorgeous vault I’ve ever seen.

  8. Lmao, that blonde judges face at 1:29

  9. This was so beautiful I had to watch it 20 times

  10. Best vault of all time?

  11. Vanessa Ferrari’s floor music playing during the slo-mo makes it that much more badass

Sean Quinn nah it was the best

    • Sean Quinn it’s called human perfection like seriously no human can do it as good as McKayla except biles.

    • I thought it was because she didn’t stay completely laid out throughout the vault and it looked a bit off center.

    • Totally BS. Look at the side by side comparison of Maroney and Uchimura. McKayla’s vault was higher, Uchimura actually had MORE of a foot cross in the air, and he landed further back on his heels causing him to have to bend his knees more before standing it up. She was screwed in a way that is evident to anyone following your advice to take a look.

  13. “her bra strap was showing”

  14. Had this been a Russian or Romanian gymnast, it would’ve been a 10.

  15. perfect, I can’t stop watching… best vault ever

  16. Charles Russell July 28, 2016 @ 10:16 am

I remember watching this on TV. Freaking amazing.

  17. bro the silence of her being in the air and then everyone simultaneously yelling OOOOOOOHHH, made it so much cooler

  18. The deduction probably comes from the judge’s self-belief that “there’s no such thing as a perfect 10”.

  19. Second to the left judge’s face at 1:30, lol.

    • when gymnasts stuck it they don’t move so quickly. In the slow motion you can see her body is leaning towards. She wouldn’t have been able to stay in that position for 1 second more but she was clever and did great. Look other stuck landings, i am not saying anything new or weird. Gymnasts don’t move so quickly when they stuck landing. No one is hating , this is how it looks.

    • Mara Ram I just want to know why she wouldn’t do this every time she did this vault if it was so in her control. if she would’ve done this every time she possibly could have won the gold in vault despite her fall. and once again, she would have taken the step right after her vault without being able to put her hands up if she had too much power and needed to take a step.

    • Ella Loussia in elite gymnastics (or just gymnastics in general) for a landing to be counted as a stuck landing, u have to stay in ur landing position for 2 seconds before saluting

    • victoria lok interesting, didn’t know that! it looked stuck to me though. maybe that’s where deductions came from then? idk in my eyes that was a 10

    • For being American. Throughout Olympic history, judges have discriminated against U.S. olympians.
